Symphony Service Acquires US Based CoreObjects Software

Bangalore-based Symphony Service Corporation has acquired CoreObjects Software Inc, a Los Angeles-based new product development services provider, that specialises in bringing commercially deployable products to market.

With CoreObjects’ engineering delivery centers in Bangalore and Pune, India and its team of highly skilled full-time product engineers and deep vertical market expertise, Symphony Services will expand its offerings in the product development and embedded product development space.

This acquisition also provides Symphony Services access to additional re-usable components and frameworks for product development, including CoreObjects' Smart Objects suite of software assets designed to speed clients' products to market.

French BPO Accelya To Buy Stake In Kale Consultants

French Company Accelya is set to acquire the controlling stake in Kale Consultants Ltd, with one or more of its promoters selling their stake.

The news comes in that if this deal happens then open offer is expected, taking the total value of the transaction to over Rs 100 crore. The promoters of Kale, Narendra Kale, Vipul Jain and their families, hold over 38% in the company.

Accelya is BPO service provider for airline industry. It provides services like airline Revenue Recovery services, PCI-DSS compliant card management, marketing and sales analysis, electronic invoicing and travel agent risk management. It is the largest IATA BSP (billing and settlement plan) Data Processing Center worldwide and powers IATA BSPLink.

Times Internet Invests $4 Mn In Online Content Network InstaMedia

Content network Instamedia Network has raised $4 million in strategic funding from Times Internet Limited, a subsidiary of The Times of India Group.

Shimla-based firm Instamedia will use the funds to grow its network of writers and accelerate its technology platform development. It also plans to launch local sites, targeting the European and US audiences, which already drive over 60% of the traffic.

Prism Informatics To Buy 51% In A Saudi Firm IMT

Prism Informatics Limited is set to buy 51% stake in Information Management Technologies Company Limited (IMT), a subsidiary of Al Suwaidi Holding Company.

Prism Informatics has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Al Suwaidi Holding Company for purchase of 51% stake in Information Management Technologies (IMT) that provides IT solution services in the Middle East.

IMT is a technology solutions provider in IS security, IT infrastructure management, enterprise mobility & business applications.

BSE Plans To Buy 51% Stake In CAMS For Rs 650 Cr

Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) is planning to buy 51% stake in Computer Age Management Services (CAMS), a registrar and transfer agent for Rs.650 crore, valuing CAMS at Rs.1,274.5 crore.

CAMS is a joint venture between HDFC Limited, private equity firm Advent International Corp. and Chennai-based Acsys Software India Private Limited.

For BSE, this acquisition will help to consolidate its technology platform and services as it seeks to provide end-to-end solutions right from the exchange transaction to clearing and settlement.
