ARSS Infra Projects IPO Opens Today

ARSS Infrastructure Projects Ltd's IPO to raise Rs 103cr opens today with a price band of Rs 410-450 per share. The issue will close for subscription on February 11, 2010.
The proceeds of the issue will be deployed for investment in JVs (at a cost of Rs 5cr) and funding long term working capital requirement (cost of Rs 86cr). The rest of amount will be used for issue expenses and general corporate purpose. CARE has assigned Grade 2/5 to the IPO.
ARSS Infrastructure Project is an Orissa-based company engaged in construction of roads, highways, bridges, irrigation projects etc.
The company's order book position was at Rs 28.77 bn as on January 10, 2010 and it had 145 projects in hand as on that date.
For FY 09, it has reported PAT of Rs 51.19cr on total income of Rs 628.23cr. As of June 2009, it has debt of nearly Rs 240cr.
The lead managers to the issue are IDBI Capital Market Services Ltd and SBI Capital Markets Ltd. Bigshare Services Private Ltd is the registrar. Source: BS

Symphony Service Acquires US Based CoreObjects Software

Bangalore-based Symphony Service Corporation has acquired CoreObjects Software Inc, a Los Angeles-based new product development services provider, that specialises in bringing commercially deployable products to market.
With CoreObjects’ engineering delivery centers in Bangalore and Pune, India and its team of highly skilled full-time product engineers and deep vertical market expertise, Symphony Services will expand its offerings in the product development and embedded product development space.
This acquisition also provides Symphony Services access to additional re-usable components and frameworks for product development, including CoreObjects' Smart Objects suite of software assets designed to speed clients' products to market.
