GSS America Infotech Ltd is raising upto $75 Mn through various routes like QIP, FCCBs, ADRs or GDRs to fund acquisitions. GSS has identified companies in the same line of business and would acquire them in a span of a year.

GSS America is keen to acquire companies which would assure it of uniform revenues over a period of time. It may look to acquire companies in the infrastructure management space.

GSS America Infotech – incorporated in 1999 by Bhargav Marepally and Ramesh Yerramsetti – offers enterprise application and collaboration solutions, infrastructure optimization and virtualization solutions and IT and remote infrastructure management services.

It’s clientele includes Ernst & Young, BMC Software, TDS Telecom and Pepsi among others.

GSS America's Acquisitions

GSS America posted a bottomline of Rs 2.49 Cr on revenues of Rs 10.43 Cr, 10% of which comes from the Indian market, while the balance 90% comes from the US markets. GSS’s exposure in the Indian market is so low because the Indian operations are used for delivery and not a market place.

GSS America has about Rs 100 Cr cash reserves on its books as on June'09.

HCL Technologies and Wipro are the other players operating in the space.
